Gucci will Introduce Sneakers in Temporary Pop-Up Stores
Have you ever noticed information of the temporary pop-up stores of Gucci? Released by Frida Giannini, Gucci’s creative director, these iconic limited edition stores originally aim to offer a different approach to retail and will be firstly opened on the Crosby Street in SoHo, New York on Oct. 23. Then, Other stops will include London, Berlin, Paris, Hong Kong and Tokyo. Like other luxury retailers in the recession, Gucci is looking for high-impact, lower-cost methods of generating interest in the brand, especially among style leaders who may not be moved by conventional forms of advertising. It is said that these stores are available only several weeks on those locations.

18 exclusive sneaker stylists — 16 for men and two for women are visited by the temporary stores. Gucci made the the first collaboration with famous DJ Marc Ronson, targeting an audience of style influencers. Ronson declared that he spent many, many years as an avid sneaker collector, so he wanted to make sure these Gucci shoes were truly special from an aesthetic and collectable point of view.

As for the design of these sneakers, Frida Giannini successfully managed the classic GG pattern and red-and-green web stripes. Even they are perfectly expressed on the pop-up storefront. The Icon-Temporary stores will have glossy white walls accented with oversize timeless signature red-and-green web stripes along the perimeters.

Till now, I have no thinking toward the sneakers’ impression for the fashion world. Nevertheless, no matter what they are Gucci handbags or Gucci shoes, we should always keep innovative, right?
