Fendi Spring/Summer 2010 Handbag Collection

October 12th, 2009 admin No comments

The Italian luxury fashion house Fendi introduced its wide range of Fendi Spring/Summer handbag collection in Paris Fashion Week. Though they features different styles and colors, they all express two opposing themes, that’s vintage and futuristic. Flax with embroidery detail, natural wood and modern transparent organic glass are taken advantage by top designers.  Let’s see these fabulous Fendi handbags.

Some were amazing – the new soft leather Peekaboos with wood or clear plastic handles were among my favorites, and the addition of exposed stitching, combined with the different handle textures, gives the shape a sense of style that it was missing in its more staid initial iterations. The bags look touchable and a bit vintage, just like the rest of Karl Lagerfeld’s breezy, Parisian collection for the brand.

Other standouts were the Perspex beveled clutches, some completely clear, others with slight tints or exterior studding. The bags were, of course, shown with nothing inside of them, and putting anything in them would be kind of a shame, because it would ruin models’ beauty to carry anything in them. I’m a little amazed that when are these designer going to realize that we use bags to carry things. How else are you supposed to carry them? They were beautiful and a tad whimsical as art objects, and if the stuff you carry inside your clutches is very beautiful, they might be a workable choice.

And on the other hand, some things just didn’t work at all. We saw leather totes in a variety of colors with an odd, pansy-embroidered snap-on linen cover that was not only puzzling but also not particularly attractive, and Fendi would have done well to omit those completely and add more of the delicious Peekaboo styles, along with a few of the other wood-framed clutches and bags, to the collection instead. They were almost distractingly bad, but ultimately the preponderance of beautiful bags won out.

The Peek a Boo handbag is back in the usual materials like leather and snakeskin, as well as embroidery. Some of the them, also, had a Perspex element in the handle. The effect on the Peek a Boo wasn’t as drastic, but it cheapened the overall look, in my opinion.

Like these handbags or not? Will you go shopping next Spring?

Here we can see images from Fendi Spring/Summer 2009 Women’s Ads Campaign. It features the super model Toni Garrn in enigmatic photo by Karl Lagerfeld, the ideal setting for their spring summer 2009 ad campaign.
Fendi Ads Campaign
Different from the former creation, this time, the campaign shot photos from the background of narrow room. There are kinds of art paints n the wall. Though lack of enough light and fresh bright colors, in my opinion, the unique campaign can still give us a great power, which can help us break the hedge then walk up to the outer flowery world. The use of contrasts and perspectives is amazing, in a campaign where triple-level skirts are Fendi´s essential piece. Silhouettes are built from the waist, with a focus on English embroidery and laser cut techniques, which make many of the pieces really unique and interesting.

In the fashion industry, there are so many keen fashionistas who take special care to the FF signature of Fendi. Since its first use in textile lining of bags, it has been widely respected all over the globe. Now the signature is taken advantages into the style of a whole style. We have to admit its strong rallying point.

This season, designers specially add extra art elements into its classic FF signature, bringing a great surprise to us. Fendi handbags of the new collection are perfect for those who are vivid young guys. Now, let’s burst with youthful energy and enjoy the colorful world.
